CD – Craze
Flight characteristics
Our very first driver, The CD Craze is an all purpose driver that has good range and great reliability in most wind conditions. It can be thrown to fly straight, for a soft hyzer or a long turnover shot. The CD is easy to throw, versatile and reliable.
Loving it! Very versatile indeed, I have 2 in my bag for smooth anhyzer shots and another one for rollers (pretty worn out). Couldn’t cope anymore without this disc!
Thanks Discmania!
[...] and they’ve adopted a similar flight characteristics table. It’s funny, because the specs for the Craze are identical to the Starfire-L, even though they aren’t really close at all. (I went out [...]
First time I threw The CRAZE I said nice. The more i threw it, the more i kept saying whoa. Reminds me of Discraft’s Avenger in flight pattern but much more versatile and easier to control. GREAT DISC!!
just got this disc and it’s great fly’s very nice i am going to try more of disc mania
Over the past few weeks my S-Line Craze has become my go-to driver without a doubt whenever I’m in the woods or need a shot between a mid and long bomb. It feels great in my hand and seems to release really smoothly. When I need a bit more juice than my Fiend, I go for my Craze.
Simply the best!! the perfect driver for all!
Probably Discmania’s most beginner friendly driver, especially in P. Easy to get a handle on, glidey and sneeeeeeeaaaaaky long. You don’t need a lot of power to get it going.
Fills the more stable Valkyrie/Viking slot in the line up. Not hard to hyzerflip without being a flippy understable driver and has a subdued but consistent fade. If you take your time with it you’ll notice that by adjusting the release angle, nose angle and power you can manipulate the flight in ways that the PD and TD won’t do (well, maybe a sufficiently beat P-PD will do it). With finesse you can make it fly on almost any sort of line. A great lineshaping disc, in P-Line especially it reminds me of a speed 9 Eagle-L or TL.
The name Control Driver is a bit misleading. It’s not a control disc in the sense that it’s particularly easy to control and park in the middle of the fairway everytime, but rather in the sense that if you control it just right it can do just about anything. The name fit the original mold 1st Run CD’s better, those things resisted turning over much better and had a more reliable fade. The new one is a different kind of disc all together, for a different purpose.
3 aces in a years time with a 2yr old, wore out Craze..

Great beginner disc. When thrown super hard it is a great turnover disc. But when thrown at medium speed this disc does exactly what it says, straight flier that you can shred any tunnel shot with. Even when thrown soft this thing has enough glide and speed to get down the fairway.
