08.04.2008 - Bert Brader wins Eurotour opening

The Dutch player Bert Brader succeeded in winning the Open division in the first EuroTour 2008 tournament on home ground - congratulations! Bert crushed the other players by playing a flawless 52 first round, giving him the lead until the semifinals, before it got exciting.
Also the other top Dutch player, Laurens Benschop, played a good tournament finishing tied second with Geoffry "Toad" McReynolds from USA (Germany).
Pascal Thioux from Belgium took the fourth place after hed had played a great semifinal taking the lead from Bert just before the finals.

In the Women division it was also close about the two first places until the end. Swedish Angelica "Anki" Frantz was victorious two strokes before Finland's Anne Matilainen.

In the Master division Derek Robins' (United Kingdom) victory was never in question as he beat Mats Gullander from Sweden by four throws.
In third place it was Frank Buchholz from Germany and the last final place was captured by Tournament Director Erik Schmieman.

The Grandmaster division was not surprisingly won by the European Champion Charlie Mead from United Kingdom.
