Dustin Keegan hails from Eugene, Oregon. He first heard about disc golf in 2007 when he was 21 years old. After a brief amateur career, he turned professional in 2010. While finishing up his degree in Energy Management in 2013, he won his first professional event and decided to head out and see what the tour was all about. By the end of 2019 he has now played in 182 events and has earned $57,509 in career prize money.
In 2012, Dustin met Zoe AnDyke and quickly after he began teaching clinics and assisting with additional educational programming with her. Being a part of Universal Play Disc Golf, he has now taught in 23 schools around the United States and Eastern Canada. In his partnership with Zoe, over the years he has also organized putting leagues, women’s leagues, fundraiser events, kid’s camps, afterschool programs, and community events. He has also helped direct over 30 sanctioned and non-sanctioned disc golf events. Beginning in 2020, Keegan will serve as a member of the Board of Directors for UPlayDG while still being the lead ambassador.
Dustin also has a true passion for disc golf course design, which builds perfectly on his uncommon abilities in design and geometry and his eye for wringing every bit of disc golf excitement out of an otherwise raw bit of the outdoors. Over the last six years, he has helped design temporary courses for tournaments throughout Oregon and has co-designed (with AnDyke) and installed three permanent courses on school campuses in Oregon. He is really excited to be a DiscGolfPark representative.
