Esther Schultz began her disc golf journey at the age of ten. After nine years of playing, this journey has taken her all around the state, country, and world. It all began when her brothers and dad got hooked on disc golf. By getting involved not only was she able to travel with her family to various tournaments but she was also able to meet lots of incredible people.
While competing in the 2018 Junior World Championships she had the privilege of meeting Hannah and Dustin Leatherman. She was about to graduate high school and was looking for a way to travel to Africa for ministry but Esther also wanted to spread her love of disc golf. The Leathermans heard about her plans and presented her with an opportunity of a lifetime. They had connections to a ministry in Zambia, Africa that was looking for a disc golf coach. She excitedly excepted their offer and spent three months ministering and training people in disc golf. It was a life changing trip for her and her greatest disc golf adventure yet!
Esther is very competitive and loves to play tournaments. She also enjoys meeting new and amazing people. Disc golf has taken her many places and provided many incredible opportunities but it’s only the beginning!
