Bring on the Wind - the FD3 is here!

Many of our followers probably noticed the announcement of our newest disc, the FD3, on the PDGA website a couple weeks back. After that, we've already released and all but sold out the first release of of the disc, the 2015 European Open fundraiser version, featuring the awesome artwork by none other than the legendary disc golf artist Skeet Scienski. If you want to grab yourself a piece of Discmania and European Open history, we still have a couple of EO FD3's left at Discmania Store ;)

Normally we like to take our new releases nice and easy, but as the FD3 is definitely a piece our line-up has been sorely missing, we decided to roll out this one as quickly as possible. After all, we don't want our dear discmaniacs going to courses with an empty slot on their bags. The official stock release is today (July 23rd) and the new release will reach most of our retailers in the coming weeks.

The Nuts & Bolts

The FD3 is targeted everyone who can appreciate an overstable driver you can trust in all conditions. The FD3 features an aerodynamic low profile and a very comfortable concave lower rim. The initial release comes with vibrant C-line material that endures wear very well and provides an awesome grip. The flightnumbers for the FD3 are set at 9, 4, 0, 3. Despite being very close to our best-selling Power Driver (PD) in terms of flight ratings, the FD3 offers noticeably more overstable flight pattern. This disc can be used for everything from touch sidearms that get you out of trouble to full power drives off the tee. You can always rely on FD3's long but powerful and forward-penetrating fade.

The initial release of the FD3 comes in beautiful and vibrant C-line material that flight-wise will keep this disc in the sweet spot for ages, all the while looking ridiculously good doing so. The grip of this material just keeps getting better and better and we are very happy how shiny and polished these turned out. The profile of the disc is low and aerodynamic without being absolutely board flat. By this we can achieve optimal wind cutting abilities combined with a fade that's not too dumpy, but still very powerful.
